Brief Overview
There is a huge misconception that the environment is beyond repair and that there is nothing we can do to help fix it. According to Lead The Change, "the issue is not saving the planet, but rather protecting the planet’s existing ecological systems so that humans can prosper on a healthy planet."
A barrage of problems happens when we don't clean up after ourselves-climate change, pollution, even things like environmental degradation and resource depletion.
According to the World Health Organization, "an estimated 12.6 million deaths each year are attributable to unhealthy environments."
Living sustainably and reducing the impact humans have on this earth is a major obstacle that no one individual around the world has been able to conquer yet.
That's why we value community, as we strive to promote and support the conservation of nature together with our peers, neighbors, and even strangers.

The United Nations Environment Programme is responsible for coordinating responses to environmental issues within the United Nations system. It was established by Maurice Strong, its first director, after the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in Stockholm in June 1972.
Conservation International is an American nonprofit environmental organization headquartered in Crystal City, Arlington, Virginia. CI's work focuses on science, policy and partnership with businesses, governments and communities.
The Global Environment Facility (GEF) is a multilateral environmental fund that provides grants and blended finance for projects related to biodiversity, climate change, international waters, land degradation, persistent organic pollutants (POPs), mercury, sustainable forest management, food security, and sustainable cities in developing countries.
